College of Engineering Liaison

The mission of the Industry Liaison Office (ILO) is to cultivate and foster mutually beneficial relationships with partner organizations worldwide by aligning their aspirations and needs with Ohio State students, faculty, and assets.

The ILO will work with you to identify areas of mutual interest and connect you with Ohio State resources who will be your partners in the creation of mutual value. We look at the big picture when structuring potential relationships in order to leverage synergies on your behalf across Ohio State student engagement options, innovation and research capabilities, development objectives, and technology commercialization opportunities. We then assemble the optimal strategic team in partnership with other university external engagement specialists to assure your specific needs are met, guided by dedicated relationship coordination at the nexus of our partnership.

Dr. Daniel Kramer, Associate Vice President, Office of Research, guides the endeavors of the ILO. He is an accomplished Senior Project and Operations Manager with over 25 years of product development and technology maturation experience in both industry and academic settings. In his previous role as ILO Director for the College of Engineering, Dan built an extensive network of industry partnerships and helped streamline accessibility to the college.

The ILO office works collaboratively with the OSU Discovery Theme (DT) Initiatives by providing programmatic leadership support, contributing to the development of best practices for large-scale, collaborative, pan-university initiatives, and creating synergistic experiences for students, faculty, and our industry partners.
